Pat has a diploma in Counselling from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Cork, where he has studied since 1997.
This course is fully accredited by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Pat is working towards full accreditation with the I.A.C.P.
Pat is also a fully qualified Addiction counsellor and holds qualifications in a variety of addiction disciplines.
He also trained as an Aftercare Group facilitator with Aiseiri Treatment Centre, Cahir, Co. Tipperary in 1995 and worked as an Aftercare Group facilitator with Aiseiri. He presently works as a Continuing-Care facilitator with Tabor Lodge Addiction Treatment Services.
Pat has worked in Tabor Lodge Addiction Treatment Centre and in Fellowship House, Togher, Cork. Fellowship House is a secondary treatment centre that provides extended care and counselling for clients working through addiction and who need additional support following their primary inpatient treatment. It is part of Tabor Lodge – Addiction and Housing Services Ltd.
Pat is also a qualified couples and relationship counsellor.
Pat works from his home just outside Bandon and also works in Clonakilty Natural Therapies, Bank House, Emmett Square, Clonakilty.
